For three days, the 27th edition of the International Trade Fair of Medical Equipment and Instruments SALMED 2018 took place in Poznań. The event gathered nearly 200 exhibitors of the most modern medical equipment. At the same time, numerous conferences, workshops, business meetings, specialized seminars and lectures took place, which touched upon the current topics of the industry.

The Polish national stand organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency under the BRAND program attracted interest among the visitors. On the first day of the fair Deputy Director Robert Zawadzki was the speaker during the conference: "Innovations in the medical devices industry in saving health and life. The economic potential of Polish entrepreneurs - how to use it?, on the second day an expert from the POLMED Chamber of Commerce conducted a press briefing devoted to the presentation of the potential of Polish medical equipment.

The Brand program enables Polish entrepreneurs to acquire non-EU markets - very promising, but due to the distance, often inaccessible and not included in the development strategies of Polish entrepreneurs.

- The fair creates an opportunity for Polish companies from the SME sector to set their first steps on foreign markets. - assesses Robert Zawadzki, responsible for the implementation of industry promotion programs at PAIH. - Polish equipment has a real chance of success on foreign markets. The great strength of Polish exhibitors is that they are able to offer very high quality, and in the minds of foreign contractors, the prices of products have taken root as very attractive.

Our presence allowed us to establish relations with Polish entrepreneurs and broaden our knowledge about the Trade Promotion Program. One of the founders of the Wroclaw company LAPARO (specializing in the design and production of medical simulation devices - enabling professional laparoscopic training) Radosław Nowosielski admits - Thanks to the presence of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency stand and talk we learned about new opportunities and decided to participate in the program.

The Polish national stand at the Poznań trade fair was organized by PAIH as part of the implementation of the promotion program for the medical equipment industry under Sub-measure 3.3.2: Intelligent Development Operational Program, whose aim is to promote the Polish economy based on Polish product brands, part of the National Specialization (KIS).
